One of our founders, Duy Beck was recently hospitalized in the ICU due to a tremendous vehicle accident involving a chain nearly severing his neck. He has a fractured neck/trachea/vocal chords, with 17 stitches across the main portion of his neck and several neck, chest, arm, and back abrasions. He has been truly protected by God to even be with us today, but prayers and financial assistance are still needed. 

His current ambulatory and ICU bills are exceeding $55,000 at this time. That doesn’t include potential reconstructive surgery (another $20 – $30 K), long term speech and physical therapy, scar removal, and due to his career, and the tremendous loss of time and income (he is currently slated, confirmed and should be actively filming 2 films right now, this month of May on both the west and east coast and at least 3 more films this upcoming summer). He averages 7 – 10 films per year to continue to give back towards his philanthropy work.

Due to the strikes last year and his transition, he currently does not have health insurance.

Duy was an abandoned as a foster child for over 9 years, and has given back to his community, both domestically with years of volunteering with foster children, homeless and indigent communities; and internationally (Sub-Sahara, Africa, SE Asia, Latin & Central America, etc) with orphan, widow, education, micro-financing, empowering social entrepreneurship and was awarded the US EMbassy awarded HIV reduction grant at the municipal level impacting thousands of villagers.

He has been a philanthropist for many, many years and was recently awarded the 2023 Presidential Service Award by the current President of the United States. This is an opportunity to help preserve his life so he can continue to help impact his community and the world once again for good after he recovers.

Duy has never been hospitalized or in the ICU. He has never concussed, or even blacked out until this situation. He does not drink alcohol, use tobacco, is on no medications (except related to the current trauma) and for those that know him, is a safe, highly active, spiritual, emotional & physically healthy individual that probably needs to slow down :). He has a perfect driving record demonstrated by his very low auto insurance rates.
